§  Part 'C’ shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. Q.11. What are the steps for applying online for CSIR NET?

Answer: Candidates should apply online only on CSIR-HRDG website: http://gurukul-institute.in/

§  A candidate may apply either for ‘Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)’ OR ‘Lectureship (LS)’. He/she may announce his/her inclination in the Online Application, as the case may be.

§  Candidates must write their name, father/mother's name as written in their Matriculation Certificate (Xth class Board) and should secure that the same are matching with their educational qualification certificates and caste certificate except for married females. Married female candidates are appropriate to send the scanned copy of their marriage certificates along with any other documents as proof through e-mail to gurukul9716@gmail.com as and when asked for by CSIR-HRDG.

§  All Caste/PWD Certificates shall be strict as per Govt. of India instructions. The efficacy of OBC certificates (Non-creamy layer) shall be governed as per Govt. of India information.

§  After successful resignation of ONLINE Application, an Application Number will be auto-generated. Applicants are advised to conserve the Application Number for the future mention and for downloading his/her e-Admit Card. Candidate should also keep a print (hardcopy) of the duly filled in utilization form for future use.

Q.12. What is the Examination Fee for CSIR UGC NET?

Answer: Candidates administer for the Examination are appropriate to use payment gateway facility to deposit their Examination fee only through Credit Card or Debit Card or Net Banking. The Examination fee -

§  For General Rs. 1000/-

§  For Other Backward Classes(OBC)-Non Creamy Layer Rs. 500/-

§  For SC/ST/ Persons with Disability (PWD) Rs. 250/-

§  Scanned recent passport size photograph with a light background in JPEG/JPG format

Q. 14. Will Admit Cards be sent by post?

Answer: No, Admit Card will not be sent by post. Candidates are appropriate to download the e-Admit Cards from the website www.gurukul-institute.in/ 

Q. 15. What documents are to be carried on CSIR NET Examination day?

Answer:  Candidates are appropriate to bring a photo identity card such as voter ID Card/PAN Card/Driving License /Aadhaar Card/Photo ID Card issued PSU/Central/State Govt. /ID card issued by University/ College, along with a printout of their online e-Admit Card on the day of examination.

Q. 16 - Difference between CSIR NET and UGC NET?
Answer: The CSIR NET operate for the Science stream, including Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Earth Atmospheric Ocean and Planetary Sciences. Whereas the UGC NET is conducted for all the other streams. 

Q. 17 - Is it difficult to crack CSIR UGC NET Exam. Is it really tough?

Q. 19 - Can a final year MSc student apply for CSIR UGC NET?
Answer: Yes,  M.Sc capability OR under M.Sc Result Awaited (RA) category shall be suitable for Lectureship (LS) subject to fulfilling the eligibility precedent as laid down by the UGC. This means that the applicants enrolled for M.Sc or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination as on the closing date of online submission of application form are also acceptable to apply.

Q 20. Difference between CSIR NET and UGC NET
Answer: CSIR NET and UGC NET are both government exams conducted by different bodies. CSIR NET is conducted by Council for Scientific and Industrial Research while UGC NET is conducted by University Grants Commission.
CSIR NET is conducted for those aspirants who wish to apply for Junior Research Fellowship or Lectureship under Science stream while UGC NET is conducted for granting admission for JRF and Lectureship under all the streams.

Q 25. How to clear CSIR UGC NET exam in Mathematical Sciences?

One of the foremost ways to crack this exam in Mathematical Science stream is that you need to practice as many numbers of questions as you can. It is one of the toughest tributaries of CSIR NET, and one needs to devote at least six months to crack it profitably. Since Part A and Part B of this stream contain 0.50 and 0.75 negative marking commonly, therefore one needs to be sure while solving the questions. Time management is an important key here. Get the right amount of study materials and go through previous year questions.
